Monte Livata
This
location, within the Monti Simbruini nature reserve, is the only ski resort
in the Province of Rome – it is only 78 km from the city, and attracts
thousands of skiers in winter. Livata is particularly famous for its
cross-country trails, which once hosted the National Championships of Italy.
At other seasons too, the colours of the fields and forests, and splendid
panoramic views make this a beautiful area for holidays. There are also a
football field, six clay tennis courts and other sports facilities.
